WORTHING Football club were knocked out of the FA Cup following a 2-1 defeat against Dartford today (Saturday).

The Rebels will feel hard done by after an excellent performance which saw them match the Premier Division outfit across the park.

Just three minutes of injury time as Worthing throw everything at Dartford.

Jamie Brotherton strikes home despite being under pressure in the area, to pull one back for Worthing. 86 minutes gone, game on for the last four.

GOAL: WORTHING - JAMIE BROTHERTON.

Wanye Clarke heads down to Jamie Brotherton in the area, who blasts over from six yards. The striker really should have pulled one back for the Rebels.

Half-time and Worthing down in one down despite an excellent first half performance, which should have at least seen them go in on level terms, if not in front.

Elliot Bradbrook nods home a corner after a bit of a scramble in the area. A full-stretch Alan Mansfield got down and managed to get his finger tips to it but could prevent the ball from going in.

It's end to end stuff here as Dartford have started to come into the game.

Glen Woodburn misses a cross and it falls to Lee Burns in the area but Alan Mansfield saves well one on one.

A long ball over the top found Dartford's Jay May but Alan Mansfield was out quickly to clear the danger. 29 minutes gone.

Dartford are making things hard for themselves as when they have pushed forwards they keep getting caught offside.

Worthing have started much the brighter and have been camped in the Dartford half. Much to the delight of most of the crowd in a packed A2B Stadium.

Jamie Brotherton hits a free kick just wide of the top corner from 22 yards out, with 11 minutes gone.

Karl Akehurst has a pop from the edge of the area, after a lay-off from Paul Kennett, but his effort is well wide.

Wayne Clarke has started brightly for Worthing with a couple of runs causing Dartford a few problems, and forcing two early corners for the Rebels.

There has been a slight delay here at Woodside Road, but things have now got underway at 3.06pm.

With Dartford top of the Ryman Premier Division and Rebels on the back of four straight wins, having not conceded a goal in their 360 minutes, it promises to be a interesting afternoon here.

Kick-off remains at 3pm, leaving them little preparation time.

After a three and a half hour trip due to traffic problems, Dartford have arrived just 30 minutes before kick-off.
