A WOMAN was arrested after police officers issued a drugs warrant in Lancing.

Police officer executed three simultaneous drugs warrants in Lancing and Sompting on Friday (January 8).

One woman was arrested and released on bail in relation to drugs offences after officers entered a home in Bishops Close, Lancing.

At the same time, another woman was issued with a caution for possession of cannabis in Hayley Road, Lancing, and a man was cautioned for possession of cannabis in Millfield, Sompting.

Inspector Chris Smith, of the district Neighbourhood Response Team, said: "The three successful drug warrants executed in Lancing and Sompting reinforce the message that the Adur and Worthing District Policing Teams will not tolerate drug dealing within the community and we will relentlessly pursue those who continue to do so.

"This behaviour has an impact on honest members of the public who should not expect to have this activity taking place on their doorstep.

"We urge members of the public to come forward and advise us of any suspicious activity in their area as we will act robustly to information received from them."
