Arson arrest in Sompting
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life in Sompting.
Police were called to an address in Millfield, Sompting, after concerns were raised for a man's welfare at around 8pm on Friday, August 13.
Officers tried to force entry after smoke was seen coming from the letterbox.
The man inside opened the door and police used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.
A 22-year-old man has been released on bail until Thursday, August 26.
