Beach water quality recognised by society

THE quality of the water on Worthing’s beach has been recognised by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS).

The seven-and-a-half-mile stretch of coastline received a Good Beach Guide certificate from the MCS.

The guide uses sampling data collected by UK environment agencies and local authorities – to assess water quality against a set of guidelines ranging from MCS-recommended through to a fail, where the water doesn’t meet the minimum water quality required.
