Business park set for double yellow lines

THE council wants to paint double yellow lines in parts of Lancing Business Park to stop drivers parking too close to junctions.

West Sussex County Council proposes to make a permanent traffic regulation order that will prohibit vehicles waiting at any time at the junction of Commerce Way and Marlborough Road and to extend the length of some of the existing double yellow lines in Chartwell Road.

At a meeting in February, the Adur County Local Committee agreed to prioritise a scheme to stop vehicles parking too close to junctions and entrances to commercial premises.

A scheme has now been designed to address these concerns and remove parking from areas which cause obstruction and restrict drivers’ vision at junctions.

The scheme is available to view on at www.westsussex.gov.uk, where the public can also leave their comments.
