Abbie Hyseni, 11, and Ethan Taylor, 12, both attend Lancing Musical Theatre School.
The pair will now be appearing in English National Youth Ballet production of Coppelia at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley in October.
It was the first time either student had auditioned for the company, and they were two of the 45 successful entrants to make the cut of a group of 97 hopefuls.
“They are totally committed to their weekly ballet classes which they have been attending since the age of three years and are now in grade five ballet,” said Janice Tritton, principal of Lancing Musical Theatre School.
“They always give 100 per cent in whatever they do.
“I am very proud to have them in my school and delighted with their achievement. “They certainly are excellent role models and deserve recognition for all their hard work and dedication.”
