Durrington drug factory

A "CANNABIS smell" led police to uncover a drug factory in Durrington this week.

Residents contacted the police complaining about the strong smell of cannabis in Mendip Road.

A police helicopter used its heat seeking device on Thursday, February 25, to guide officers to a home in the road where they managed to seize around 60 plants.

Two men, one aged in his 30's and the other in his 40's, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and they have been bailed while the investigation continues.

Sussex Police has praised the initiative of locals in reporting the smell and have said they hope other Worthing residents will follow their lead to help target those involved in drugs.
