ELVIS met Elvis ahead of a charity concert to raise money for Paws animal sanctuary in Findon.
Findon resident Ann Burfoot is staging her second Western-themed dance event at Findon Village Hall to raise money for the sanctuary.
Ahead of this year’s sell-out event tonight (March 10), members of Eel Fish Parsley, an Elvis tribute band who will be performing on the night, met Elvis – a pony which was recently rescued by Paws.
Ann said: “This year’s dance is already sold out – it proves so popular, and we hope it is going to raise between £900 to £1,000 for the sanctuary.
“When we heard about the little pony being abandoned and then rescued it was very sad, but it seems to be doing so well now with the support of Paws.”
Stacey McSpirit who runs the animal sanctuary, in The Oval, named the pony Elvis, because of the band’s support.
Anyone interested in attending next year’s fund-raising dance should contact Ann for tickets on 01903 873801.
