EUROPE 2009: Candidates for south east England

VOTERS have a choice of 15 political parties in the European elections on Thursday, June 4.

In European elections British voters choose a party rather than individual candidates.

Each political party then selects its MEPs from a list of its candidates, dependant upon the number of votes polled.

There are 133 people campaigning to represent various political parties south east England.

The British National Party; Christian Party "Proclaiming Christ's Lordship" The Christian Party - CPA; Conservative Party; English Democrats The English Democrats - "Putting England First!"; No2EU: Yes to Democracy; Socialist Labour Party; The Green Party; The Labour Party; The Peace Party - Non-Violence, Justice, Environment; and United Kingdom Independence Party UKIP, all have 10 candidates.

Nine candidates have been put forward by Jury Team Democracy, Accountability, Transparency and Pro Democracy: Libertas.eu.

United Kingdom First has four candidates.

One candidate has been put forward by The Roman Party. Ave!
