Ferring man stabbed

A FERRING man was stabbed on Tuesday in Worthing.

The 38-year-old man received stab wounds to his face and hands during the attack at a flat in Rowlands Road on Tuesday evening (June 22).

Detective Inspector Trevor Bates said: "This is an isolated incident, believed to be drugs related.

"I would like to speak to two black men seen at the location and to anyone who may have seen these men in Worthing town centre around the time of the attack.

"Neighbourhood officers will be maintaining a highly visible presence in the Rowlands Road area and conducting house-to-house enquiries."

Police were called to the flat at 6.24pm.

As they attended, they stopped the injured man in Byron Road and an ambulance was called.

The victim was taken to Worthing Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The scene is currently being searched for forensic evidence and CCTV footage is being examined.
