More than 20,000 people flocked to Worthing, to sit in the blazing sunshine to watch 40 men and women fly from the pier.

The title was retained by Ron Freeman, with his combined flights of 82 metres on Saturday and almost 64 metres on Sunday.

Steve Elkins broke Ron's record with a flight of 99.85 metres on Saturday, but could not quite manage to reach Ron's total in his 2.81 second flight.
