GALLERY: Davison High School fashion show
DAVISON High School students took a break from studying to showcase their own creations at a fashion show.
The year 11 DT textiles students made the costumes as part of their GSCE coursework. Most took around 10 weeks to complete, with around 60 hours of work going into each design.
Many of the outfits were hand-stitched and featured intricate detailing such as sequins, beads and printing.
In all, around 70 students took part in last Wednesday's textiles exhibition, with outfits ranging from a Japanese kimono to a dress inspired by Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling.
Jane Green, head of DT textiles, said: "The students have been amazing. I fed them with details of the current trends and they used that as a starting point.
"Most of them create mood boards then they sketch out the designs before making them. We have got some real stunners and I'm so proud of them all."
