Goring man suffers broken jaw in club attack

Police are investigating an attack on a Goring man in a Brighton night club which has left him with a broken jaw.

The 20-year old man was in Volks Club in Madeira Drive, Brighton, in the early hours of Sunday, January 31, when sometime between 3.15am and 4.15am he was punched in the face and fell to the floor.

He later made his own way to St Richards Hospital in Chichester where he was treated for a broken jaw, which has required the insertion of a metal plate.

He did not see his attacker and police are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Constable Sarah Townsend said; “If you were in or around Volks Club early that morning and saw what happened or have any other information, please contact us via [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 751 of 03/02.

“You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 (www.crimestoppers-org.uk).”
