Injured woman thanks Worthing's good Samaritans

A WOMAN who was injured when her motorbike collided with a car in Worthing has said thank-you to the people who helped her.

Sophie Parsons motorbike collided with a Vauxhall Vectra saloon in Poulters Lane, Worthing, shortly before 6pm on Thursday, November 5.

The 22-year-old, from Queen's Street, was taken to Worthing Hospital with suspected broken bones.

Afterwards, Sophie contacted the Herald and said: "I am feeling a little better with no broken bones, just bruising.

"I would like to say how nice people are in Worthing.

"When I came off my bike within seconds there were loads of people trying to help me.

"There was a lovely gentleman talking to me, asking about me and my life while holding my head so I wouldn't move my neck.

"If its wasn't for this man anything could of happened.

"Also, I want to thank the woman who lives in Poulters Lane for calling my family and keeping them updated until they attended.

"The ambulance and police staff and the lovely staff at Worthing Hospital were also fantastic, so a big thank-you to everyone who helped with my accident."

The driver of the car was unhurt.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Sussex Police via 0845 60 70 999, quoting Serial 1319 of November 5.
