The line up of acts for the 2016 Wild Life Festival at Shoreham Airport has been revealed.
THE line up of acts for the 2016 Wild Life Festival at Shoreham Airport has now been revealed.
The festival returns to the airport on Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 12, following last year’s successful inaugural event.
Presented by Disclosure and Rudimental in association with SJM Concerts, the 2015 event attracted some 70,000 revellers – 35,000 each day – from across the country, making it the biggest event to be held at Shoreham Airport.
The 2016 line-up was revealed at 9am on Tuesday, and features Ice Cube, James Bay, Carl Cox, Annie Mac and Busta Rhymes, while De La Soul will return.
Announcing the acts, drum and bass band Rudimental said: “It is with great pleasure that we announce round two of us and Disclosure’s Wild Life festival.
“Last year was incredible and we can’t wait to do it all over again!
“Do not miss out because this is going to be a very special weekend.”
And electronic music duo Disclosure said: “Heeeeere we go again!! Wild Life festival is back for 2016 and with a line up to knock your winter socks off and your summer dancing shoes on... Hurry up, June!”
Other acts announced include Bastille, Skepta, Jack Garratt, DJ EZ, Andy C, Flume, Four Tet, Stormzy, The Martinez Brothers, Dixon and Pusha T.
Last year’s Wild Life festival was hailed a resounding success by many, with the good-natured crowd being singled out for special mention. And promoters have confirmed that the ‘local box office programme’ will be back for 2016, giving local residents priority when ticket sales open.
Shoreham Airport’s main terminal will be the site for people to get themselves booked in for 2016 – pre-sale tickets went on sale yesterday.
SJM Concerts event manager Steve Walton said: “It’s great news that we are returning to Shoreham again in 2016. As a thank-you for the support of local residents we will be running our box office again over the week of ‘on sale’.”
