Local businessmen meet to tackle energy loss

A group of local businessmen have set uo a new club - Energise Hastings.

A host of company directors have got together with Hastings Borough Council to launch the new organisation.

They hope Energise Hastings will offer a friendly and supportive environment in which to learn about energy efficiency in the home and how to generate your own electricity and heating from renewable sources.

Monthly meetings and regular emails will help members learn about new renewable energy technologies and help them take practical action to improve insulation and get renewable energy equipment installed.

The club will even provide support for experienced plumbers, roofers and electricians in accessing training in the installation of this equipment.

The first meeting will be at the Bridge Community Centre, Priory Road, at 10am on Saturday 2 (January 24). Everyone interested in reducing fuel bills and tackling climate change through energy use in the home is welcome.
