Man stabbed in Worthing late-night street attack
A MAN was stabbed as he walked home.
The man was walking in Wykeham Road, Worthing, at about 2.30am on Thursday, January 1, when he was approached by a man who asked him for a cigarette.
He explained he didn't have any, but the attacker pulled out a pen knife and thrusted it towards him.
He was stabbed in the arm when he put it up to protect himself, before the attacker ran off.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene and he was taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment on his wound, which was the size of a 5p piece.
