Missing Ferring woman's husband on police bail

ANDY Taggart has been told to report back on July 17, to detectives investigating his wife Elaine's disappearance.

Mr Taggart, 43, answered police bail on Tuesday (May 27) after he was originally arrested on Wednesday, April 9, at his family's Ferringham Lane home.

He was questioned for two days before being released on bail.

Forensic investigators and other officers spent days digging up the gardens at the 500,000 house and used an industrial digger to excavate a nearby building site.

The last confirmed sighting of Mrs Taggart was on January 3.

Her red Fiat Punto, registration N988 YJB, was found in Goring Street, near Goring railway station, on January 4.
