THIS is a photo capturing one of two masked robbers who took money from Worthing Golf Club and struck a female staff member in the face with a baseball hat.

The armed robbers stole money from Worthing Golf Club during the robbery, which happened around 1am on Sunday (September 26).

During the attack in the club house in Links Road, one of the men struck a female member of staff with a baseball bat, causing a large cut which required 16 stitches at Worthing Hospital.

Three members of staff were working at the time the masked men entered.

The men later made their escape with the stolen money across the golf course and are believed to have come out on to Warren Road, where they may have had a vehicle.

The first suspect is described as white, aged 16-18, 6ft 2ins, of skinny build, wearing a white top and a white or cream scarf over his face.

The second was around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins, of stocky build and older than the first man. He was wearing a red scarf or balaclava, dark clothing and was carrying a laptop/satchel type bag.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time and may have seen the men approaching or leaving the golf club to call 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 110 of 26/09.
