Thousands of people filled Worthing’s beaches at the weekend as the International Birdman event proved popular once again.
See this week’s Worthing Herald for six pages of coverage from the flying event, as well as videos from the weekend here.
The Birdman competition included dozens of people dressed in inventive and entertaining costumes to raise money for charity.
However, the serious flyers provided the main excitement this year, with one scooping the £10,000 prize for the longest flight past the 100 metre jackpot line.
Also in your Herald this week is more reaction to the A27 improvement plans, news from the latest school strikes and the latest parking disputes and campaigns.
There’s also pictures from the latest school proms, event previews, crime appeals and charity pleas.
This week we feature the story of a teenager who has completed her dream to swim the Channel.
These are just a selection of the stories you will find in our jam-packed Herald alongside all of your favourite columnists, sport pages, nostalgia, business news, entertainment guide and letters.
There is also still time to enter your favourite café or coffee shop in our contest and you can find out who won our competition for a VIP trip to see an open-air performance of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
