Plea for £5,500 to save emissions

Blackthorns Community Primary School is close to turning to the power of the sun for its electricity and hot water after being awarded 30,000 by EDF Energy.

Headteacher Ruth Schofield said the project was critical to the children's first-hand learning about renewable energy as well as to the environment.
