Police officer bitten following domestic dispute

At 4.15pm on Thursday, March 27 two police officers were called to a flat in Church Walk, East Worthing, after a report of a domestic dispute.

One of the officers received a bite injury to her wrist when restraining and arresting a woman.

The second officer, a man, sustained a hand injury during the struggle.

The officers were treated for the injury at Worthing Hospital.

A 29-year old local woman was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and causing actual bodily harm, and is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.
