Donations can be made during this time to the St Barnabas van, which will be in the car park at the rear of the shop Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Free collection of larger items can be arranged by calling the retail distribution centre on 01903 275660.

Head of retail Jan Harper said: “Durrington is one of our busiest shops. Last year alone, our incredible team of volunteers processed and sold over 70,000 items that had been generously donated by the people of Durrington.

“This amazing effort produced enough funds, to pay for the equivalent of all of the care services provided by St Barnabas House for a fortnight. I’m delighted that we can take this opportunity to improve the shop for our customers.
