A PHOTO exhibition documenting Worthing mayor Bob Smytherman’s year in office has raised more than £200 for charity.

The exhibition, organised by Cllr Smytherman’s official photographer, John Young, was held at the Southern Pavilion over two days, with a grand launch night marking the opening.

It featured an array of pictures captured from a number of the countless engagements attended by the mayor, including an award-winning snap of him in full mayoral robes.

Mr Young said: “It went really well and the feedback was good.

“The Southern Pavilion has a lot of memories for people in Worthing, so I thought what better place to hold the exhibition of Bob’s year.

“The past year has been priceless. So many good things are going on in Worthing which half the time no-one knows about. It was great to highlight them.”

Mr Young has now moved the exhibition to Worthing Library, in Richmond Road, where it will be on show until May 31.

The photos will then be toured around Guild Care’s homes.

The event raised over £200 for the mayor’s charities.
