EXPERTS in the environmental field held workshops as part of a themed day of learning at a school.
The annual eco day at Thomas A’Becket Middle School in Glebeside Avenue, Worthing, was held at the end of term, during which all students took part in a day of environmental learning.
Some of the workshops offered included one from Cool Schools on Fair Trade clothing, the Body Shop’s community trade programme and one about one as a valuable resource. All children also attended a presentation by Action Aid about climate change.
Polly Wise, the school’s eco co-ordinator, said: “We mixed all the children into different age groups, so they got an opportunity to work with pupils they wouldn’t normally. They were all very keen and had a great day.”
