Shock death of former Worthing councillor

TRIBUTES have been paid to a former Worthing borough councillor who died suddenly on Friday (December 16).

Mark McCarthy, a former Independent Tory councillor for Offington ward, has been described as an “exceedingly fine chap” and a “tremendously kind” person.

His family spoke exclusively to the Herald this week about Mark’s “troubled” life.
