The family, created by the Facepack Theatre Company, visited Durrington First School.

Their show Are You a Drip? has been commissioned by Southern Water for another year and was performed at a number of schools across the South East.

Aimed at seven to 11-year-olds, it uses a mix of mime, masks and comedy to raise awareness of water efficiency, water for health, safe disposal of fat, oil and grease and climate change issues.

It has been seen by tens of thousands of school children across the Southern Water region since it was first commissioned more than ten years ago.

West Sussex County Councillor Trixie Hall watched the performance. She said: “I thought the interaction between players and the schoolchildren was excellent and I am sure there are going to be a few parents out there being told how to turn off taps and watch their water use.”

Andy Shaddick, Southern Water’s public affairs manager, said: “We hope that by educating the children now the message will be passed on for generations to come.”
