Two-year-old Teddy goes missing after shopping trip
A TWO-year-old teddy bear has gone missing during a trip into town with its owner.
Bear Bear, who belongs to three-year-old Amber Purcell from Lancing, went missing during a trip into Worthing a couple of weeks ago.
Since then Amber's grandfather, Bill Jones, of Boundstone Close, Lancing, has retraced their steps, asked in almost 50 shops and even made up posters asking for Bear Bear's safe return.
"She's really upset over the whole thing," said Bill.
"We have bought her others but she's not interested. She just really bonded with it.
"Its insides are all over the place and it's flopping to one side but she loves it."
Amber got Bear Bear during a holiday to Weymouth, but when Bill tried to get a replacement he was told the range had been discontinued.
Bill believes they may have lost Bear Bear in Homefield Park in Worthing.
Anyone with any information about Bear Bear's whereabouts should call 07910 287866.
