Unions call for Worthing High School to scrap academy plans

Unions have called for Worthing High School to scrap its plans to become an academy, following the resignation of head teacher, Alison Beer.

Eric Skyte, of the NASUWT, said: “As yet, there is no evidence that changing to academy status improves the quality of education.

“The school must call an emergency meeting of the full governing body and put a stop to this damaging conversion.”
