TWO men and a woman are being held on suspicion of assault following an incident in Worthing at around 11pm on Thursday night.
Police were called to an assault outside a property in Marine Parade.
A 46-year-old man was found with a serious head injury in a beach shelter on Marine Parade at around 4am.
He is being treated in hospital.
Another fight was also reported on Western Row at around midnight, involving the same group of people.
A 43-year-old man suffered a swollen face, jaw and hand, bruised back and ribs.
He was treated at Worthing Hospital.
A 26-year-old man from Worthing is being held on suspicion of two counts of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).
A 38-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man, both from Worthing, have been arrested for GBH and remain in custody.
