VIDEO: Bergerac's car brought back to life in Worthing
FOR the past five months, hidden away inside a small workshop near Worthing, part of British television history has been painstakingly brought back to life.
One of the original cars used in 1980s crime series Bergerac, and driven by actor John Nettles, has undergone a total transformation from a rotting, corroded, shell back to its full, shiny glory.

The Triumph Roadster had spent numerous years as a tourist attraction in Jersey, where the TV series was filmed, but after thousands of people were allowed to step in and out of the car it had fallen into disrepair.
Martin Holland, owner of Simply Classics in Clapham, took on the mammoth task of restoring the car.
He said: "I had done lots of planning for the restoration, but you always find things that have to be done with classic cars that you didn't realise in the first place.
"The chassis, made of steel, had corroded at the back of the car and was in danger of completely falling apart."
Originally, Martin expected to spend three months on the restoration project, but it took him an extra month to get everything completed to a safe standard.
