VIDEO: New Worthing swimming pool proposal revealed

A VIDEO showing a simulated version of the proposed Aquarena re-development is now available to view, providing a glimpse into how the facilities could look if the plans become a reality.

The video shows a 'fly-through' in and around the swimming and fitness complex, which could be in place by February, 2013, if planning approval is given in the next few weeks.

Architects Wilkinson Eyre want to create a six-lane, 25-metre competition pool within the 17million specification, which many people have previously criticised as not being ambitious enough.

Also planned is a combined learner/diving pool with one and three-metre boards, indoor leisure pool with flume, outdoor water pool for paddling and water play, a health and fitness centre, caf and flexible studio space for other activities.
