VIDEO: Dalek protects wood on Worthing beach
VISITORS to Worthing beach were shocked to see a new form of security in place to protect the wood – a Dalek.
Mark Green says he, his daughter Rebecca, son Richard and his girlfriend's daughter Jade, spotted Dr Who's arch nemesis on the beach as they drove along the seafront on Saturday (February 22).
Mark said: "I turned the car around, parked it (and paid for one hour parking just in case) and ventured onto the prom armed with my trusty mobile phone."
Mark says his initial thought was, 'that's something you don't see everyday' and his second thought was to capture the scene on his mobile phone.

Mark joked: "Has the council called in the Daleks in their quest to protect the wood on Worthing beach?
"Anyone attempting to take some timber now will be exterminated!"
