VIDEO: Shoreham Airshow 2008

THOUSANDS of people flocked to Shoreham for the town's annual aerial extravaganza.

The 19th Shoreham Air Show had lift off on Saturday (August 31) morning, with displays and attractions to wow the crowds.

Making a welcome return was Christian Moullec with his flock of geese, which followed him through the Shoreham sky as he piloted his microlight aircraft.

Among the highlights of the day were the Team Guinot wingwalkers and the simulated airfield attack, complete with a Spitfire and Hurricane scramble.

As always, the event proved popular with families and aircraft enthusiasts alike.

A tribute to pilot Brian Brown, who died when his Hawker Hurricane crashed during last year's air show, was also held.

The programme will be repeated tomorrow, Sunday, August 31. For more information on the show, log on to www.shorehamairshow.com
