Waves heading for Worthing seafront

Waiting for Video...

STRONG winds and the high tide brought large waves crashing on to Worthing’s beach today.

This video was shot at Splash Point, Worthing, by Karl Dimmock, managing director of Johnston Press South, which publishes the Herald.

He, along with head of news Sam Woodman and reporter Joe Riddle, braved the elements to capture the drama.

Conditions were so severe that the sea had risen to level with Worthing Pier, which remains closed for safety reasons.

• If you have taken videos or pictures of the extreme weather, send them to the Herald. Pictures and video footage can be emailed to reader.pictures@worthingherald.co.uk
