WEDDING bells could be in the air tonight as fans of TV’s The Undateables see a Worthing woman return to the screens for a special proposal.

Jessica Morrod met life model Matthew Oghene in an ‘unusual’ date on the Channel Four show last year.

The couple instantly clicked – and in a tantalising preview at the end of last week’s show, viewers saw Matthew pop the question.

Tonight’s episode will reveal whether a fairy tale ending is in store.

Speaking to the Herald last year, Jessica said: “We literally met on camera for the first time and up until then we had only seen a profile of each other and a bit of a biography.

“It was really interesting and there was a lot more to it than was seen on the show.”

Jessica’s date with Matthew, who struggled with a stammer, was the talk of social media when the programme aired last January.

Matthew surprised his date with an exacting desire for a woman with 16.5-inch shoulders.

Fortunately, Jessica’s 16-inch shoulders were acceptable – and confirmed when Matthew whipped out his tape measure on their first date.

“It was one of the most unusual dates I have been on, particularly when he pulled out the tape measure.

“Initially, I was quite thrown by it but I didn’t mind and my reaction was totally genuine. Afterwards, I kind of thought ‘what was that about’ because I didn’t know any of the back story.”

See tonight’s episode, which will also feature Worthing attractions like Splash Point Mini Golf course, from 9pm.

Worthing is no stranger to the series, as Worthing Football Club owner George Dowell also made an appearance in the latest series.
