Were you in this children’s parade in Littlehampton?

A children's parade in Wick in the 1930s or 1940s

What a wonderful parade!

You can see a nurse, fairy, flower girl, pirate and skeleton among the group. The pavement is crowded with people watching and it looks like the 1930s or ’40s.

The photograph was brought into our Littlehampton Gazette office by Mrs Morgan, who says it was taken in Wick Street in Littlehampton. Do you recognise the event and can you tell us more about it? Perhaps you were one of the children in the parade, or you made one of the costumes? Let us know more about it so we can share your memories. Email Elaine Hammond at elaine.hammond@shorehamherald.co.uk or call 01903 282378.
