West Sussex firefighters visit Number 10
SIX West Sussex firefighters who helped save lives in Haiti have been to 10 Downing Street for tea.
Prime Minister's wife Sarah Brown welcomed station manager St John Stanley, crew manager Chris Kemp and firefighters Peter Thorpe-Hinks from Steyning, Brian Vincent from Worthing, Rob Negus and Mick Lewin.
The six men were part of the UK's 64-strong International Search & Rescue Team who spent 10 days in the Haitian capital Porto-au-Prince after it was devastated by an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale.
Among those rescued by the UK ISAR team was two-year old Mia who was pulled from a collapsed kindergarten and reunited with her mother after being trapped for three days.
