Woman attacked by two men in alleyway

A WOMAN was attacked by two hooded men in Sompting on April 7 as she walked in an alley off Boundstone Lane in broad daylight.

The 31-year-old woman had just walked into the alleyway on the west side of Boundstone Lane, Sompting, at 10.30am when she was hit on the head from behind by two men.

The victim managed to kick one of the attackers and a passer-by shouted at them, causing them to run off.

Police said the suspects were wearing black hoodies with the hoods up.

PC John Percival of Sussex Police said: “This is a concerning incident which left the victim very shaken.

“We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident and certainly to the member of the public who intervened.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

Officers are asking anyone with information on the attack to call the police on 101 or contact them by email at 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial number 0555 of 07/04.
