WOOD WATCH: Day 30 – All quiet on the seafront

A STRETCH of Worthing's promenade remained closed – but there was no sign of chipping on Saturday morning.

The beach opposite Heene Road is fenced off to the public to allow approximately 2,000 tons of pine to be chipped and turned into bio-fuel.

All residents and businesses in the area have been told about the chipping. The public can call 01903 239999 with any concerns.

Keep checking the website for more updates.
