Worthing firm celebrates clean sweep of top honours

A Worthing-based communications firm is in celebratory mood after ganing a clean sweep of high profile industry accolades.

Pegasus PR scooped five gold honours at the Home Counties South Pride Awards held by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

The company, which has offices in Liverpool Gardens and clients include Holland and Barrett, Pfizer and the Health Food Manufacturers’ Association, is recognised as the largest independent healthcare consultancy in the UK.

It picked up the awards for Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy – for its work “inspiring healthy decisions”; Healthcare- for work with Cho Young Tea; Best Use of Media Relations- awarded for the Bee Venom campaign; Consumer Relations- for their work with Boehringer and their FABcats launch and Best Use of Social Media- for Bio-Oil Facebook campaign, which were all celebrated at the Brighton Metropole.

The CIPR Pride Awards, sponsored nationally by Precise, PRWeek and RedBrand, had received a total of 1,000 entries from freelancers, consultancies and in-house teams from across the country.

They recognise excellence in public relations and communications across the UK. Winners are selected by a panel of more than 50 judges and are based on campaign briefs, objectives, strategy, tactics, outputs and outcomes.

Managing director Lisa Bradley welcomed the company’s success.

She said: “We are particularly proud to have won gold on all five categories at these special awards.

“It was a great night for the company, staff and more importantly our clients. We pride ourselves on building campaigns that resonate, have impact and deliver in excess of expectations. Recognition of this only confirms the hard work and creativity we have from our staff and receiving this from the CIPR is the icing on the cake.”
