EIGHT Worthing streets have applied to hold parties to celebrate the royal wedding.
Another 11 have voiced an interest in staging a knees up, according to the borough council, which has been dealing with requests.
The eight are Ladydell Road, Lanfranc Road, Patricia Close, Robson Road, Sackville Way, Valencia Road, Warwick Street and Chelsey Close.
Patricia Close and Warwick Street will not need road closure orders because the former intends to keep festivities to gardens, while the latter is a pedestrian shopping precinct.
There are also plans for a giant party on Broadwater Green after Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot at Westminster Abbey on April 29 at 11am.
It will be staged from 4pm to 9pm, but will move indoors to St Mary’s Church, Broadwater, if it is raining.
