A SCHOOLGIRL raised £247 for a homeless charity through a school enterprise project.

Lucy Henderson, of the Vale Middle School, in Vale Avenue, Findon Valley, raised the money for Worthing Churches Homeless Projects (WCHP) by making and selling bracelets.

Year seven student, Lucy, was given £10 at the start of the project and ended up making a big profit by selling the bracelets to other school pupils, friends and family members in aid of the charity, which she selected.

Louise Brooks, from WCHP, said: “We are very grateful for the donation Lucy has made to Worthing Churches Homeless Projects and are thrilled that she has chosen to support the charity.

“Lucy has worked very hard to make the bracelets.”
