A MAN arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm has been released without charge.

The 40-year-old from Rustington, was arrested following a dispute with a 54-year-old man from Chichester over taxi fare, in Chapel Road, Worthing, last Tuesday.

The Chichester man’s injury, while initially considered very serious, was later confirmed to be a cut to the head that required eight stitches. Evidence showed that the Rustington man acted in self-defence and his actions were not criminal.
