Man struck by lorry on A27 at Worthing has died

A MAN who was struck by a lorry on the A27 at Worthing has died, police have said.

The 29-year-old pedestrian was taken to Southampton Hospital by air ambulance after the incident, which happened near Swandean Hospital at 9.35am on Tuesday.

Police closed the A27, its junction with the A24 and the A280 for more than three hours while they and other emergency services attended, and for the air ambulance to land.

Anyone with information or who saw the incident is asked to call Sussex Police, on 101, quoting Operation Daventry.
