‘Miracle’ mum makes unexpected recovery

A MOTHER-OF-FOUR who was left unable to walk and talk after she suffered a brain haemorrhage while 31 weeks pregnant is finally able to enjoy life with her family after ‘baffling’ medical staff with the speed of her recovery.

Debbie Hensby just months before she suffered a life-threatening brain haemorrhage

On the morning of January 2, 2013, Debbie Hensby, 39, of Rectory Road, Tarring, suffered ‘excruciating’ headaches before she was sick and passed out.

Her eldest son, Ben Luto, 18, called an ambulance and helped to look after his sister Beth, 15, and Charlie, 3, while husband Ben Hensby, 31, returned from work in Maidstone, Kent.

Debbie said: “It was really painful, like an excruciating headache. You can’t compare it to anything at all. You start to not see properly, the next thing you know, you’re being sick and then you pass out.

“Ben was pretty marvellous, he called the ambulance and got Beth to get Charlie out of the room so he wasn’t scared.”
