THE new £3.5 million development of The Vale School in Findon Valley was officially opened at a ceremony on Friday morning.
Taking place in the bustling redeveloped school hall, the ceremony saw MP for East Worthing and Shoreham Tim Loughton cut a ribbon declaring the facilities open, alongside headteacher Martin Garratt.
The project includes eight new classrooms, music practice rooms, a library, a food technology room, redeveloped outdoor play facilities, an extended school hall and a kitchen - which will be used to provide hot meals at the school for the first time.
Mr Garratt said: “We have a school environment that is fit for the 21st century, that the children are proud of and they now have specific rooms that can support them in their learning.”
