A GROUP of students with learning disabilities presented a Worthing charity with £450 after a series of fund-raising events.

The adult students from Northbrook College are currently studying a module called community projects, which is a one-day-a-week course which aims to help students take part in a range of projects which benefit the local community.

The group organised a series of fund-raising events for Buddys, in South Farm Road, Worthing, as they use the service.

The group raised the money by holding a raffle and tea mornings, and by doing a sponsored walk from Worthing Pier to Sea Lane Café, in Goring.

Northbrook lecturer Jo Sullivan said: “The group worked really hard to make the event a success and Buddys are delighted with the result.”

Buddys is a café, drop-in centre and information hub for people with learning disabilities.
