IMPROVEMENT is still needed at the Sir Robert Woodard Academy, despite it being removed from special measures, according to the latest Ofsted report.

The report, published on Friday, revealed that the school was no longer rated as inadequate but there were still many areas that were not up to scratch.

Ofsted highlighted some of the school’s strengths, such as principal Peter Midwinter’s ‘strong, effective leadership’, adding that he had ‘quickly gained the respect of staff and students alike’.
