Do you love jam? Do you have £1? We have jam.

A top UK jam maker is helping Rotary to raise £1million through specially-made Purple4Polio jam!

The Worthing Steyne club is going to a Rotary district meeting in Reigate today to collect its supply of Early Rivers plum or greengage jam for the club to raise some money towards the Fight Polio Now campaign.

Our first event to raise money for this campaign is the club’s Rotary Jumble Sale at Lancing Scout Hall, South Street, Lancing, BN15 8AU, next Saturday, April 1, from 10am.

We will have our jars of jam available.

Why not come along and see us and try out our special jam?

The aim is to ask for a donation of £2 for each jar of jam, and to raise £20 per jar of jam – because we hope that once people have enjoyed the jam, they will let us have the jars back to be filled with loose change, or even some of those new shiny £1 coins coming out this month.

Of course we will be happy to have some of the old £1 coins too!

All the donations will go to the Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign.

But what is jam without a tea party to enjoy it? We have plans for tea parties later this spring.

You may be involved with a local organisation, perhaps care home, retirement home, school, nursery or social group, who might want to have tea party too to raise money for this campaign to raise money for End Polio Now?

Can we help you with organising something? We can both share the fun – and the jam!

If we could use Gift Aid too, donations would increase by 20 per cent, which will quickly add to our target.
